When it comes to writing about innovation and technology, there are few that can match Guy Kawasaki, the man who was part of the team that marketed the Macintosh way back in 1984 and has since emerged as a marketing guru and speaker in his own right. And if you are a Kawasaki fan (we do not know too many people who are not) or just want to sample his writing, here’s some good news for you (from Kawasaki himself from his Twitter account): no fewer than four of his books are available for free download.  And this is no idle giveaway, as most of these titles are worth a read and still sell in bookstores. Here they are, in descending order of our preference:

The Macintosh Way

MacintoshWay

A masterclass on technology marketing and management, spiced up with anecdotes from Apple and the first Macintosh marketing campaign.

The Computer Curmedgeon

Macintosh definitions of common words, crazy one-liners, columns – this book has got them all. Might feel a bit dated but is an absolute must-read for anyone who follows tech and loves a good laugh.

What the Plus

what-the-plus

The perfect book for all those wanting a slice of Google+ action. Oh yes, and if you think Facebook is waaaay better, then you REALLY need to read this.

Database 101

database101

A primer on what databases are, and how they can be put to good and effective use. All right, of the four, this is the least interesting for us, but there are geeks and wannabe geeks who will be queuing up for this.

Interested? Then head right over and download them from here. No, we have no idea how long the offer will last so we would advise you to hurry. We already have grabbed our copies!
