We keep getting amazed at the prices being offered by Amazon’s Kindle e-book store. Our latest surprise came in the form of the pricing for Amish’s bestselling Shiva trilogy. Comprising The Immortals of Meluha, The Secrets of the Nagas, and The Oath of the Vayuputras, the trilogy has a price of Rs 800 in paperback, with a special trilogy pack that comes for about Rs 750 (although many booksellers are selling it for a lot lesser- Amazon itself is offering it for about Rs 436). However, on the Kindle, all three books are available at a staggeringly low cost of Rs 309!
This is the break up:

  • The Immortals of Meluha: Rs 80 (download from here.)
  • The Secret of the Nagas:  Rs 103 (download from here.)
  • The Oath of the Vayuputras: Rs 126 (download from here.)

Frankly, this is a staggeringly low price when you consider that the official price of The Oath of the Vayuputras alone is Rs 350 (though again, many booksellers are offering it at a much lower price – Rs 195-225). In fact, it is rare to get a single high-profile title for Rs 350 in these days of the declining Rupee. Worth a download for all those curious about the Amish and the Shiva trilogy phenomenon surely. The fans must already have them.
